Emergency Procedures
At Sareh, your safety is our highest priority. Our property is equipped with a state-of-the-art fire detection and emergency evacuation system to help ensure the wellbeing of all guests.
In the event of an emergency, alarm bells will sound throughout the building. If no staff member is immediately available, follow these procedures:
Alert
- If you discover a fire, activate the nearest fire alarm (if accessible) and call 000 for emergency services.
- Clearly state your location and the nature of the emergency.
Assembly point
- Proceed to the designated assembly point at the front of the building (or as indicated on signage).
- Report to the staffs or emergency personnel so your safety can be confirmed.
Assess before exiting
- Check your room door and handle for heat before opening.
- If hot, do not open the door. Stay inside, seal gaps with towels, and signal for help from a window if safe.
- If cool, open the door slowly and check for smoke or fire.
Do not re-enter
- Do not return to the building until advised by emergency services, such as Fire and Rescue NSW.
Evacuate safely
- Leave immediately using the nearest safe exit (as shown on your room's evacuation diagram).
- Stay low if there is smoke.
- Assist others only if it is safe to do so.
